Dr. Calderon, Dr. Krejci and one of our REU mentors, Mary Abu Safieh, from Los Medanos College in Pitsburg, CA we’re finalizing the data and poster for our research on applying machine learning to use satellite data to predict chlorophyll a concentrations in the Halifax River.
Dr. Krejci’s office has intense air conditioning and Mary and Juan needed to borrow from the “Mr. Rogers area” to stay warm hence the lab coat and graduation gown. All in the name of science!
