Homecoming means: counting individual copepods in the lab

This week Ja’Kaila and Alyssa are running a pilot study for our seahorse and pipefish feeding selectivity trials. The pilot requires that they count individual copepods and are able to recover all the copepods after 2 hr. First step is to make sure they can isolate individual adults, which means a steady hand, excellent microscope skills and patience. Lots of patience! These girls worked till after 7pm until they nailed the procedure. Well done future doctors!
